Atterbury Consultants has been timber cruising in the
Pacific Northwest for over 20 years. We pride
ourselves in providing exceptional value to our clients.
Our timber cruisers have been trained to select the best
sampling system for each stand they cruise. The client will receive an
accurate cruise report with reliable volumes and abundant
information. Our methodology provides valuable data at
a reasonable price. We use
imagery and
GIS data to create type maps and
analyze the cruise area. We then strategically
place plot points on the map to suit the type of information
needed. Because of our preparation, our cruisers are
familiar with the terrain before going to the field.
Our cruisers are equipped with
GPS locators,
laser rangefinders, electronic data collectors, and
either a
Relaskop, or the
RD 1000. They also have the option of carrying a
waterproof digital camera for additional detailed data
collection.
Our cruisers are highly trained in data collection
methods. They attend our
seminars and are proficient with the timber cruising
software that we developed;
SuperACE.
Our cruisers collect data on sorts, grades, and defects
so that our comprehensive and accurate measurements
result in detailed and informative inventory reports.
