This seminar is designed to make industry professionals more

Each participant will receive a free evaluation copy of
ArcPad tm and a free
dataset for use in the seminar. If you have a consumer
grade GPS unit, feel free to bring it to class.

3:30 pm Equipment Analysis: Laser rangefinders, Relaskop®, &
RD 1000
4:30 pm Digital Cameras in Forestry. Capturing Pictures at
Plots and for reports

Second Day 8:00 am Field Session with GPS
traverse, navigating to plot locations, Timber Cruising
exercise
Noon Lunch and return to office
1:00 pm Analyzing and merging GPS and GIS data
1:30 pm Creating an ArcPad project within ArcGIS
2:00 pm How to convert consumer GPS data to ArcGIS
2:30 pm Downloading timber cruise data from a Pocket PC to
Desktop Timber Cruise Software.
