| Another example where filter mode and the
filter can be used to great advantage is when one
person is traversing a unit to determine acreage.
The user pins reflective tape on trees and then
takes back shots to get distances to the reflective
tape. One person can traverse using a compass
and the TruPulse laser in Reflective mode. All
distance measurements will be accurate if the
reflective tape is hit. If the reflective tape
is not hit, the TruPulse will report an error.
The quality of the reflective tape determines the
distance that the filter will work. It is
common to be able to have shots of 100 feet or more
to good quality reflective material. A product
called Diamond Coat made by 3M is very good,
although a bit expensive. |
