The TruPulse Laser Rangefinder is a forester’s dream come true.
It is truly unique in that it measures closest and farthest
distance. This allows you to shoot at a target and know if
you hit some intermediate brush or twigs. The closest
measurement is the intermediate obstruction and the farthest
measurement is your target.
The
TruPulse readings are viewed through the eyepiece. This
saves time because you don’t have to take the instrument
away from your eye. You can take multiple shots, one right
after the other. This is especially helpful when sighting a
tree to see if it is leaning. You just shoot the bole at a
few different places to see if the horizontal distance
changes appreciably. The distance should get slightly
farther away as you look further up the bole because the
tree diameter is less.
The TruPulse 360B has a compass and Bluetooth integrated into it.
