Range Finders

High quality laser rangefinders are both faster and more accurate than using a logger's tape.  The TruPulse and Impulse models can measure slope, horizontal distance, and tree heights.  All of our laser rangefinders are exceptionally easy to use.

Some Trupulse models can use blue tooth technology to directly input data into a hand held data recorder or laptop. Using Bluetooth eliminates tanglesome cables.

New Item!  In Stock Now!

The TruPulse Laser Rangefinder is a forester’s dream come true. It is truly unique in that it measures closest and farthest distance. This allows you to shoot at a target and know if you hit some intermediate brush or twigs. The closest measurement is the intermediate obstruction and the farthest measurement is your target.

The TruPulse readings are viewed through the eyepiece. This saves time because you don’t have to take the instrument away from your eye.  You can take multiple shots, one right after the other. This is especially helpful when sighting a tree to see if it is leaning. You just shoot the bole at a few different places to see if the horizontal distance changes appreciably. The distance should get slightly farther away as you look further up the bole because the tree diameter is less.

The TruPulse 360B has a compass and Bluetooth integrated into it.

Uses for the TruPulse 360:

  1. Map unist from one vantage point

  2. Collect rock pit and chip pile volume using the Trupulse 360 plus optional software

  3. Determine distance, inclination, and azimuth between two points.

  4. Measure vertical angles

  5. Determine compass bearings

  6. Measure distances between plots

  7. Traverse timber sales

  8. Determine accurate offsets with GPS

  9. Lay out roads in timber stands

  10. Harvest unit layout

foliagefilter Foliage Filter for the TruPulse 200 Laser Rangefinder
$39.00
The Foliage filter fits over the bottom lens on the TruPulse and is easily attached or removed. The TruPulse Foliage Filter allows the user to shoot accurate distances in brushy situations where a normal shot would be very difficult to make. It is especially helpful when marking stream buffers. When the foliage filter is attached and the TruPulse is in "Filter Target Mode", distances up to 300 feet can be measured. Users will either get an accurate measurement or no reading. The foliage filter works with reflective tape, bicycle reflectors, or prisms.
